The person I am nominating is my mother. She has been on her own since my father left when we were kids and has needed a roof for some time now. However, it is a huge financial difficulty for her. She has paid someone to climb up and nail on a few more shingles each year when there have been leaks. I am literally fearful of what type of damage may have been done because of the delayed maintenance, but when you don’t have the funds to do so, what are you to do. She now has 3 of her disabled family members living with her, two of which are seniors and she spends her time working or taking care of their needs. I would love to see this happen for her. She truly needs the help.
