Home Evolution (HE) provided a fair cost estimate and used premium materials reshingling our home. Serge was great in reviewing the material types. As a Veteran, Alex of HE provided us with a further discount. When they found some wood rot caused by “water dam”, Paul was fair with that added cost, the work was completed in one day and the overall job was simply stunning. Paul and his crew transformed this 1985 home with a ridge vent and the cleaned up and protected our plants and new cedar deck while doing so. We have a solid premium roof far less than HD quoted. Home Evolution provided a prompt visit to assess the job and provide a roofing proposal for our 1975 home. Alex sat down with us and explained everything that he proposed to do to complete the job the right way. This included a well prepared video of what we could expect and presentation of literature and samples of products that were planned to be used. As an engineer, I appreciated that because unless you know the details of what you are paying for I’m not sure how anyone can make an informed decision – especially with all of the roofing contractors in business in the area. The job entailed: installation of heavy canvas tarps to protect landscaping, removal of two layers of shingles, removal of the original plywood sheathing due to black mold, removal of existing air vents, gutters and downspouts, installation of Advantech 5/8 in. thick tongue and groove sheathing (that we specifically requested), installation of Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration Shingles, installation of heavy duty and wider than normal drip edge, installation of a previously non-existing ridge vent (Owens Corning VentSure), installation of bath fan aluminum roof caps (that they agreed to include in the cost days after the proposal was provided), hook-up of the bath fan ducts that were previously run to the vented soffit, and clean-up and haul away of all materials at the end of the job. About a week later, installation of new seamless gutters (w/ gutter guards) and commercial sized downspouts was completed by a subcontractor with Home Evolution oversight.A crew of 7-8 workers showed up promptly at around 7:15 AM on the day of the job along with a main foreman for the job (Vasiliy). A second foreman (Ivan) also assisted on the job in various ways. Each of the crew members had a set responsibility to complete the job in a very efficient manner. This included crew members to tear off the old shingles and sheathing, a crew member simultaneously cleaning up the old shingle and sheathing debris, crew members completing cuts of the new sheathing and loading the power ladder with new materials, members preparing and installing flashing for a lower roof section, a member installing the lower roof shingles, at least three or four members installing the new main roofing material, etc. Meanwhile, I was able to talk with Vasiliy (primarily) and/or Ivan and ask them many questions. Both were very accommodating to answer my questions and requests that I had, and did a great job overseeing all aspects of the job as it progressed. The crew worked hard and steady! Within about two hours from the start of work, both layers of old shingles and the old sheathing were removed, and the new roof was being installed promptly thereafter. Installing the non-standard 5/8 in. tongue and groove (normally 1/2 in. no T&G) sheathing on old, somewhat sagging and twisted 2″x6″ rafters had to be somewhat challenging but seemed to be no problem for the crew. After a short break for lunch, the entire crew was back at work. By around 2-3 PM the entire job was completed including cleanup. I give them an A -A+ for the job. The team cared about details, which I very much appreciate. This included snapping chalk lines on the new sheathing, making adjustments as needed to ensure the ring shank nails (the best!) were properly installed through the sheathing and into the rafters, carefully replacing the attic insulation after the fan ducts were pulled up, etc., etc. I have peace of mind knowing that the job was done right. I also know that they are only a phone call away if I have any questions going forward. Alex, Vasiliy, Ivan, and the rest of the team are very trustworthy people. In this day and age where you don’t know what kind of work quality you will get from someone you hire, hire The Home Evolution team and rest assured you are getting the job done right!

We had our roof replaced in Guilderland NY because of hail damage. Home Evolution explained to us how to claim it to our insurance company. They walked us through the whole process step by step and helped us to get qualified for a new roof. They always came on time and if they were running late, they would always call in advance and gave us heads up. We think they did a great job repairing our roof. They were very flexible in scheduling to accommodate our schedule. They showed up a few minutes before 8AM and were on the roof exactly on time. The crew was very courteous and efficient. I have flower beds across the front of our house and all the plants survived. The roof looks great and they cleaned up everything. This was the easiest and quickest roof I’ve ever had installed. Roof was installed exactly one week after I recieved the quote. The crew arrived at 7am then proceeded to strip the old roof, re-flash all vents, install ice barrier, install tar paper, install new ridge vent, lay new shingles, clean up, and were back on the road by 1pm. There was no mess left behind and another contractor I had working on the chimney at the same time said they did a great job. We needed both home and garage roofs done so I went online and did a general search for roofers….Home Evolution was one of five that I decided to get quotes from. I called Alex – the owner of Home Evolution to make an appointment. With in a day or two he was there to give us the quote. He climbed around the roof, took pictures and prepared everything on his computer in minutes. I was very impressed with his professionalism and great personality.It only took about 20 minutes for a presentation of what our roof needed and what he could offer. The quote price actually shocked me – I expected it to be much higher. Without hesitation we agreed to the contract – I didn’t even bother with any of the other quotes.
The team came in, got to work and within only a few hours we had a new roof and two new skylights – just beautiful. The workmanship was excellent! They cleaned up all the debris from the old roof and even took some old roofing materials we had left behind from a “patch repair job” years earlier!!! Just great!

Called for an estimate and Igor came out at the appointed time. He did an estimate of the damage and even showed me pictures of damage I did not know existed. He was very professional and personable. We hired Home Evolution for a leaky roof repair. Igor came and explained everything up front, We knew exactly what would be involved in the repair, as well as the cost. They agreed to repair the roof, while several other companies were too busy to even come look. We are extremely happy with the professionalism with the entire team. Our roof looks great, with no leaks, and it is a huge relief to have an end to the worrying. I just wish there was more communication, as we waited to have the project completed. Serge came out and provided the estimate and was very clear and precise on the work that needed to be done as well as the cost, general technicalities and overall procedures. I just purchased this home a year ago and the roof was in dire need. Hence, they came out as scheduled right on time and the work commenced. They worked the entire day from morning thru early evening until the job was done and done well I might add. Not only did they replace the roof, but they used state of the art materials and also repaired many of the boards (18) under the roof that had been damages by years of wear and tear and water of course. Two months went by and all was well. Few weeks ago, I had some moisture, it turns out there was a leak but not due to the work itself but due to a dented window frame – they did not have to repair it as it was not the roof, but out of graciousness and totally professionalism, Serge came out early on a Saturday morning evaluated the problem and fixed the leak. Now that is what real companies that values their work and customers do. I highly recommend Home Evolution to anyone looking to fix and/or buy a new roof. Might I add, they also installed double skylights – frame it out for me, cut it out and again installed from scratch. Increasing the beauty and also my homes value. The skylight have been applied so beautifully, that they appears as though they were always there perfectly aligned within 2 different rooms. Amazing work!!! We love our roof and our skylights.
